Study on the Relationship among Social Anxiety, Social Avoidance, Distress and Mental Health
of the Secondary Vocational School Students

Abstract:

Random sampling method was used in the survey of the social anxiety, social avoidance, distress and mental health of 994
secondary vocational school students in three secondary vocational schools in Kunming and Dali in Yunnan Province. The results show
that: the secondary vocational school students' social anxiety level is above average, social avoidance and distress are at medium level;
vocational school students' mental health has rather high positive testing rate; the scores of social anxiety, avoidance, distress and
mental health condition show a clear correlation among each other; secondary vocational school students' social anxiety, social
avoidance and distress can do great help in predicting their mental health .
