Abstract

Abstract:

In the salt well area in western Yunnan, salt is essential in human's life, whose importance can be found in the tales of salt
well and the worship of salt god. The interweaving of the belief and Bai nationality's folk ceremony present the historical memory of its
group development, as well as the culture conceptions such as worshiping good health, rich and safe life which has deeply influenced
Bai people's behavior and consciousness.
