Abstract:

Objective: To compare clinical results of gastric cancer patients undergoing laparoscopic radical and traditional open
gastrectomy. Methods: The clinical effect of 103 gastric cancer patients undergoing laparoscopic radical gastrectomy and traditional
open gastrectomy in Affiliated Hospital of Dali University from October 2010 to October 2013 were summarized and analyzed. Results:
Laparoscopic radical gastrectomy resulted in significantly less blood loss volume(153.05±11.71)mL vs.(278.45±12.65)mL,(P <
0.05), less anal exsufflation time(3.10±0.62)d vs.(5.58±1.12)d,(P < 0.05), shorter postoperative hospital stay(14.25±2.78)d
vs.(22.07±3.59)d,(P <0.05)and higher survival rate of one year(94.1% vs. 92.1%, P > 0.05). Conclusion: Laparoscopic radical
gastrectomy enjoys advantages like less blood loss volume, less postoperative hospital stays, less postoperative complications and
favorable clinical effect comparing with open gastrectomy.
