Abstract:

Objective: To provide medical support for effective control of multidrug- resistance organism(MDRO)infection by
retrospectively analyzing targeted surveillance results and the distribution of MDRO in the hospital. Methods: Targeted surveillance
was conducted from January 2011 to December 2014 to monitor MRSA, VRE, MDR-AB, MDR-PA and ESBLs-producing strains.
Results: A total of 12 257 strains of pathogenic bacteria were isolated from January 2011 to December 2014, and 1 656 strains of
MDRO were detected, which were 13.51% of all of the isolated strains(1 656/12 257). Among all of the 1 656 strains, the major
specimen types were urine, sputum, secretions and blood. ESBLs-producing Escherichia Coli and Klebsiella Pneumoniae were the
primary germs. MDRO infection occurred most frequently in Neurosurgery and Urology. Conclusion: ESBLs-producing strains were
still the primary MDRO from January 2011 to December 2014. The infection rates of MDR-AB showed an increasing trend and MRSA
a decreasing trend.
