Abstract:

Higher education reform puts forward new requests to the practice of socialist core values. The general secretary, Xi
Jinping, puts forward the "four characteristics" of the teacher in the new period, which determines the leading role of college teachers
in the process of practicing and promoting the socialist core values. In order to realize the role, university teachers must cultivate noble
moral character consciously in daily life based on their professional practice; meanwhile, they also should present the obligation in
teaching practice.
