Abstract:

Objective: To conduct a pharmacognostical study of Silene delavayi Franch. Methods: Original plant, character
identification, microscopic identification and physicochemical identification methods were used. Results: The original plant
morphology, character feature, cross section structural and powder microscopic characteristics, and preliminary analysis of physical and
chemical components of Radix Silene delavayi were described. Conclusion: The results provide basis for the identification and quality
evaluation of this crude drug.
