retrospective review and analysis was performed of the medical records of 432 patients(469 hips)who had the primary total hip
replacement in the first afflicted hospital of Dali University from January 2011 to December 2015 in order to explore the causes of
dislocation of the joint after the first replacement. Results:Of the 432 patients(469 hips), 17(17 hips)had postoperative dislocation,
including 14 cases of early dislocation in which 3 cases(21.4%)were caused by patients, 6 cases(42.9%)by the operation and 5
cases(35.7%)by improper position of patients, and 3 cases of late dislocation in which 2 cases were traumatic dislocation and 1 case
of unknown reason. Conclusion:Dislocation after the first total hip replacement can be caused by patients, surgery and postoperative
