An Analysis of the Epidemic Situation of Legal Infectious Diseases in Binchuan County from 2004 to 2013

Abstract:

Objective:To understand the epidemic characteristics of notifiable infectious diseases in Binchuan County from 2004 to
2013, and to provide scientific basis for the prevention and control measures. Methods:Descriptive epidemiological method was used
to analyze the notifiable infectious diseases in Binchuan County from 2004 to 2013. Results:From 2004 to 2013 in Binchuan County
it was reported that there were 9 153 cases with 24 kinds of infectious diseases in which there were 96 deaths of B class with 76 cases
of AIDS included, and the mortality rate was 1.05%. No class A infectious diseases were reported. The average annual incidence rate
was 271.14/10 million, including 2 939 cases with pulmonary tuberculosis, the main diseases of foot and mouth disease in 2 025 cases,
1 427 cases with hepatitis, 704 cases with epidemic parotitis, 404 cases with infectious diarrhea, 343 cases with dysentery, 282 cases
with gonorrhea and 274 cases with scarlet fever. There were 8 398 cases in total, accounting for 91.75%. 16 cases of class B were
reported with an average annual incidence rate of 175.49/10 million, and 8 cases of class C with no mortality had an average annual
incidence rate of 95.65/10 million. The overall incidence rate showed an upward trend, and the class B was relatively stable.
Conclusion:The prevention and control of infectious diseases in Binchuan County is still arduous, and we should strengthen the
prevention and control of tuberculosis and hand foot mouth disease.
