Abstract:

Objective:To investigate the microbial contamination of drinking water in Dali from 2010 to 2013, to provide scientific
basis for the surveillance and management of drinking water. Methods:Water samples were collected in dry season and rainy season
twice a year from 15 representative jurisdiction monitoring sites of Dali which were randomly selected. The samples were collected and
tested according to GB/T 5750—2006, and sanitary microbiology evaluation followed GB 5749—2006. Results:Over the period from
2010 to 2013 1 996 water samples were collected and tested. The differences among three types of water test dimension were statistically
significant(χ2=11.999, P<0.05). Over the four years failure rate(43.76%) in rainy season was significantly higher than that
(11.64%)in dry season(χ2=81.130, P<0.05). Conclusion:The drinking water in Dali from 2010 to 2013 is inordinately polluted by
microorganism to somewhat different extent. Though the qualified rate has an ascending trend year by year, yet it is still low. So water
quality needs to be further improved.
