On Moot Court Teaching Method and Its Application in Teaching Practice of Criminal Procedural Law

Abstract: The moot court is a kind of teaching method which is often used in the teaching of criminal procedure law. Its application in the teaching practice generally involves four stages: preparation before trial, selection of simulation cases, trial and filing of cases.There are problems in the moot courts in the teaching of criminal procedure law, such as insufficiency of practice time in teaching,inexperience of the tutors, and lack of antagonism in the simultaneous trials, etc. In order to solve the problems, corresponding measures could be taken, such as increasing the time of practice session and input, increasing the actual trial training to improve students' knowledge utilization ability and procedural competence, and training and cultivating students' legal professional quality.
