Abstract: 〔Abstract〕Objective: To discuss the effect of graphic type health education path applied in patients who underwent scoliosis orthopedics. Methods: 40 patients who underwent scoliosis orthopedics between January 2012 and December 2017 in the first department of orthopedics in the People's Hospital of Yuxi City were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group on average. In the control group the traditional lecture method of teaching health education was adopted, while in the observation group the method of graphic type health education path was performed to offer systematic, planned and targeted health education. Before discharge patients in both groups were distributed with self-made questionnaires and surveyed about their mastery of health knowledge and satisfaction with nursing care. Results: Compared with the control group, patients in the observation group had a better understanding of health knowledge and rehabilitation exercise, and had a higher satisfaction with nursing care. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05). Conclusion: The teaching method of graphic health education path has better effect than the traditional lecture method, improving the quality of health education and nursing care, and enhancing the patients' satisfaction degree.
