Abstract: The "herringbone" economic corridor between China and Myanmar provides new opportunities for Chinese enterprises in Myanmar undoubtedly. However, Myanmar is a country with very strong religious beliefs, where most people believe in Theravada Buddhism. This would inevitably influence Chinese enterprises' investments. Research on religious risks and countermeasures during the mining of Letpadaung Copper Mine will not only provide solutions to religious risks for Chinese enterprises in Myanmar, but also provide a substantial reference for Chinese enterprises in avoiding investment risks caused by religious factors abroad.
Key words: investment in Myanmar, religious factors, risk-prevention
