Abstract: Based on the analysis of the authors, institutional sources, discipline distribution, and high-frequency keywords of 748
samples of papers collected in Renmin University's Culture Studies from 2015 to 2019, it is found that the field of culture studies has
developed an international vision in recent years. Modernity has a certain impact, but still, the field strives to maintain an attention to
traditional culture and forms a mutually incentive development model between tradition and modernity. However, the elitism tendency
of pseudo-popular culture is worthy of attention. In the future, cultural research should break the dispute on naming rights, consolidate
research communities, form a broad research horizon that pays attention to different cultures of various social classes, increase the
transformation and application of excellent foreign cultural research theories, and apply cutting-edge theories to practical research.We
should also pay attention to interdisciplinary fields involving culture, and actively explain the major development waves of various
interdisciplinary disciplines from a cultural perspective, so as to make due think tank contributions to the prosperity and development
of Chinese culture.
