Abstract:

Objective To study anti-oxidative stress effect of Xigui crude polysaccharide for hypoxic mice. Methods Kunming mice were randomly divided into normal group hypoxic model group salidroside group360 mg/kg), Xigui crude polysaccharide low dose group100 mg/kg), medium dose group 200 mg/kg and high dose group 400 mg/kg. The survival time of the first batch of mice put in hypoxic environment was measured. The superoxide dismutaseSOD activity glutathione peroxidase PxGSH-Px activity malondialdehyde MDA content acetylcholinesterase AChE activities in liver tissue and serum and serum nitric oxide NO content in the second batch of mice were measured. Results Each dose group of Xiguei crude polysaccharide could prolong the survival time of mice, significantly decrease the content of MDA in serumP<0.01), and up-regulate the activities of SOD and GSH-Px in serum and the high dose group had the best effectP<0.05. The medium and high dose groups of Xiguo crude polysaccharide could significantly decrease the content of NO and the activity of AChE in serum of miceP<0.05), significantly increase the activity of SOD in liver tissue of miceP<0.05), decrease the content of MDA in liver tissue of mice and increase the activity of GSH-Px in liver tissue of mice and the high dose group had the best effect P<0.05. The AChE activity in liver tissue of mice could be decreased in the middle dose group of Xiguei crude polysaccharideP<0.05. Conclusion Xigui crude polysaccharide can effectively prolong the survival time of mice under hypoxia and has a better anti-oxidative stress effect.
