Analysis of Clinical Treatment of Lumbar Brucellosis

Abstract:

〔Abstract〕 Objective： The lumbar Brucella infection is relatively rare and easy to be misdiagnosed. The treatment experience of lumbar brucellosis is summarized through case analysis. Methods： The case data of lumbar brucellosis in the First People's Hospital of Yunnan Province from January 2015 to January 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. Results： A total of 11 patients were included in the study. All patients received drug therapy and surgery. The preoperative visual analogue scale（VAS） score was（6.00±0.77） points， and the last follow-up VAS score was（0.64±0.50） points； The preoperative lumbar Oswestry disability index（ODI） score was （37.64±6.90） points， and the final follow-up ODI score was（13.73±4.05） points， and the differences were statistically significant（P<0.05）.Conclusion： Lumbar brucellosis can achieve good therapeutic effect through drug therapy and surgical treatment.
