Abstract:

Abstract Objective To evaluate the improved method of preoperative preparation for direct anterior approachDAA total hip arthroplasty so as to explore its clinical value. MethodsFrom January 2020 to November 2020 the clinical data of 54 patients who completed DAA primary total hip arthroplasty in the Department of Orthopedics of The Second People's Hospital of Chengdu were retrospectively analyzed. According to whether the modified method was used or not the patients were divided into the modified group and the traditional group. The preoperative preparation time operation time disinfection area and Harris score were compared between the two groups. Results There were significant differences in preoperative preparation time and disinfection area between the two groupsP<0.05. The operation time of the two groups was similar and the difference was not statistically significantP>0.05. There was no significant difference in preoperative Harris score between the two groupsP>0.05. The postoperative Harris score in the modified group was higher than that in the traditional group with a statistically significant differenceP<0.05.ConclusionAfter the improvement DAA can reduce the disinfection area shorten the operation preparation time as well as the duration of anesthesia and the risk of anesthesia. And it is conducive to the rapid recovery of the hip joint function of patients after surgery which has clinical application value.
