Abstract:

The coupling and coordinated development of education and economy is an important issue in the construction of China's socialist modernization and sustainable development. Based on the coupling coordination degree model and comprehensive evaluation index system of education and economy, this study analyzes the coupling coordination degree and spatio-temporal evolution of education revitalization and economic development in five provinces with relatively high concentrations of ethnic minorities in China from 2010 to 2019. The results show that the comprehensive development level of education and economy in each province is steadily improving, but there are obvious regional differences, and there exists an imbalance within the system. The coupling degree of education and economic development in each province is basically the same, which is in a high level coupling state, and the interaction degree is high, but there are still spatial differentiation and local integration in the benign coupling degree. The degree of coupling coordination between education and economic development is determined by the comprehensive development index of education and economy in each province, and each province presents different coupling coordination types. In the future, we should accelerate the transformation of government functions, optimize financial support system, perfect policy supervision mechanism, and promote human capital development to realize an coordinated development of education and economy in ethnic areas, so as to provide decision-making basis for education and economic development in ethnic areas.
