With the continuous advancement of technology, artificial intelligence （AI） technology has been widely applied in financial management. AI technology has transformed the traditional financial management mode, optimized the structure of the financial management team, improved the efficiency and quality of financial management, and accelerated the digitalization process of financial management in universities and colleges. Although AI technology can significantly enhance university financial management, as the development of intelligent finance in universities is still in its initial stage, there are issues such as an incomplete management system, insufficient technological penetration, high cybersecurity risks, and the need to enhance staff literacy in intelligent technologies. Based on this, universities and colleges should proceed from their actual circumstances and lay a solid foundation for accelerating the innovation of financial management modes in universities by improving their financial management systems, emphasizing the integration of AI technology, strengthening technical supervision, and enhancing the professional competence of financial and accounting talents.
