Abstract:

Objective：To explore the application effect of superficial temporal artery reverse island flap in the reconstruction of
sideburns. Methods: Analysis of 6 cases in which superficial temporal artery reverse island flap was used to reconstruct sideburns.
Results: The transposed flap（reconstructed sideburns）of 6 patients survived completely. With good hair growth , beautiful and
stereoscopic appearance, the reconstructed sideburns were symmetric to the healthy ones. Conclusion: Superficial temporal artery
reverse island flap was effective in the reconstruction of sideburns.
