Abstract:

Objective: To investigate the role and mechanism of cell signaling pathway in the occurrence and development of hepatic
fibrosis. Methods: The literature about the regulation of cell signaling pathway and its mechanism in recent years were reviewed.
Results: Hepatic fibrosis is a pathological repair reaction to the chronic liver damage. Cell signaling pathways like TGF-β, PDGF,
hedgehog signaling, Wnt signaling, JAK-STAT and Notch signal participated in the occurrence and development of hepatic fibrosis.
Conclusion: Hepatic fibrosis is the result of a series of cell signaling pathways: hedgehog signal, Wnt signal and a series of cell
information molecules.

Key words: hepatic fibrosis, Wnt signaling, Hedgehog signaling, hepatic satellite cells
