Abstract: Objective: The chemical components of Whitfordiodendron filipes were studied in order to search for bioactive ingredients. Methods: The seed of the plant were extracted in the cold-soaked way with ethanol, and the ethanol extraction was partitioned with petroleum ether, acetic ether(EtOAc)and n-butyl alcohol(n-BuOH). The fraction was separated using silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography methods, and their structures were identified based on spectroscopic analyses and chemical properties. Results: Eight compounds of EtOAc and n-BuOH fraction were purified and identified as allantoin(1), 3-(4-methoxyphenyl) propionic acid(2), formononetin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(3),(E)-3, 2′, 4′, 6′ -fourhydroxy-4-methoxy-chalcone-2′-O-Dglucopyranoside(4), vicioside(5), D- sucrose(6), D- 3- O- Quebrachitol(7), n- tritriacontanol(8). Conclusion: All these compounds were identified and isolated from the plant for the first time.
