Study on Talent Cultivation of Higher Vocational Tourism Education in the Context of Holistic Education

Abstract:

 The very nature of education is to define what talents should be cultivated. According to the theories of holistic education education is to cultivate qualified employees for enterprises and talents for nation as well as to tap the full potential of a person thus helping him develop fully in physical soundness knowledge skills morality spirit soul and creativity. The multi-dimensional coordinated development concept of "student-society-human-environment" of holistic education is highly compatible with the certification system of tourism education of the World Tourism Organization. It is necessary to improve the education quality of China's higher vocational tourism education in an all-round and whole-process way which carries forward the concepts of holistic education are instrumental for China's higher vocational tourism education to adjust the training target expand the international vision. Also we need to reform the training mode and deepen the integration of industry and education to optimize the curriculum system and cultivate tourism morality and to cultivate teachers' quality and change their role and teaching methods should be innovated to meet future challenges.
