Editorial Strategies of Academic Journals: Facilitating the Construction of an Autonomous Knowledge System in Chinese Borderland Studies

Abstract:

Taking borderland studies academic journals as an example, this study explores the paths through which editorial strategies are applied in multiple dimensions to promote the construction of an autonomous knowledge system in Chinese borderland studies. Using 10 core borderland studies journals and papers with the theme of "borderland research" as research samples, this study conducts a visual analysis of the sample literature with CiteSpace software and a qualitative analysis of the column settings, article themes, and keyword frequencies of the sample journals. The conclusions are as follows: topic selection planning is a key factor in focusing academic research directions. Column settings can guide the theoretical integration, method integration, and discourse integration of disciplinary knowledge. Manuscript review can ensure the political nature and academic nature of manuscripts. Dissemination and promotion can facilitate academic exchanges among various platforms. Borderland studies academic journals construct an editorial strategy of "issue setting - quality control - communication optimization". By achieving a balance between ideological security and academic innovation, it helps promote the construction of an autonomous knowledge system in Chinese borderland studies.
