Winter Leaf: An Authentic Writing of Human Life

Winter Leaf in Wild Grass has authentically represented LU Xun's meditation on human life. The image of "diseased leaf" is LU Xun's plain emotional projection after great joy and grief and it is an authentic writing of the return to life itself. The metaphor of illness embodied in "diseased leaf" is closely connected with LU Xun's own experience of illness. The life experience of illness has led him to a more real view of life.
