The Perspective of Cultural Infiltration from the Western Christmas in China

Abstract:

Globalization has deeply impacted our lives, and this phenomenon has been firmly confirmed by the Chinese youngsters' celebration of the Western holidays, especially that of Christmas. Globalization seems to be an inebitable result of cultural exchanges and collisions, and in turn it has accelerated the tendency of interculture. This article, from the hot phenomenon of western Christmas in China, tries to analyze the inevitability of western holidays in China context and explain how Chinese culture could infuse into foreign cultures while remaining its independence in the context of globalization.
