Abstract:

Objective: To develop pharmaceutical services for the senior citizens, and to improve a safe, rational and scientific
medical guidance for the aged. Methods: Questionnaire surveys were applied to investigate the medication compliance. The Χ² test was used for data analysis with variables including dosage, time, period, and drug co-administration. Results: Medication compliance among the senior citizens was influenced by age, physical situation, hospitalization history, disease progression, and drug adverse reaction. And the difference was statistically significant （P<0.05）. Conclusion: Pertinent and professional pharmaceutical services should be taken according to the influence factors as dosage, time, period, and drug co-administration so as to improve medicine compliance for the aged.
