Investigation of the Microbial Contamination of Student's Mobiles in Some College in Dali

Abstract:

Objective: To explore the microbial contamination of the students' mobile phone in a college in Dali, and to provide
reasonable suggestions on how to reduce microbial contamination. Methods: Bacterial culture and detection were conducted on samples on mobile phone from 100 randomly selected students at a college in Dali. Results: Bacterial pollution was serious in students mobile phone, the total number of bacteria detection rate was 96% (96/100), and the total number of bacteria pollution exceed the standard rate of 25%(25/100). Exceed standard rate of total bacteria on keypad mobile phone was higher than that on the touch screen mobile phone(P<0.05). The positive rate of coliform group was 24%(24/100), and the coliform group detection rate of male cases was higher than that of females(P<0.05). Conclusion: Microorganism contamination was serious for college students, who were lack of understanding and effective disinfection and protection measures.
