Exploration of the Joint Instruction by Subject Teachers and English Teachers under Bilingual Instruction Environment

Abstract:

Bilingual instruction is an effective way to develop multi-capability talents with the ability to perform international
communication and to realize internationalization of higher education. However,shortage of bilingual teachers has become the bottleneck of the development of bilingual instruction. This essay explores the practice of joint instruction by teachers of medical subjects and teachers of English under bilingual instruction environment. Since the advantages of both teachers of medical subjects and teachers of English are brought into full play,this joint instruction has proved to be fruitful in teachers' development in bilingual instruction and students' achievements in both learning the subjects and their English proficiency.
