A New Way to Cultivate College Students' Innovation Ability: Community of Practice

Abstract:

Nowadays, one of the goals and directions of China's reform and development of higher education is to explore new ways to
cultivate innovative talents. Communities of practice, as an informal self-organized system of inspiring innovation, can be beneficial for college students to reasonably build up their knowledge structure, to promote the formation of student's innovative consciousness and innovative thinking and to enhance their practical ability. The development environment of China's higher education also provides a sound basis and condition for the new way of cultivating college students' innovation ability.
