Abstract:

Objective: To study the anti-tumor effect of Juglans sigillata shell extracts on three human tumor cell lines including
SKOV- 3, HepG- 2 and MGC- 803 in vitro. Methods: Alkali extraction and alcohol precipitation were employed to extract the
antitumor activity of effective components HTKD(D), HTKE(E)and HTKF(F)from Juglans sigillata shell and observe the inhibitory
effects with MTT assays. Results: At highest concentration component E could obviously inhibit the growth of three human tumor cells
with dose-dependence. In addition, component E inhibited the three tumor cell lines with minimal the median inhibitory concentration
(IC50). Conclusion: The extract of Juglans sigillata shell showed anti-tumor effects and pharmacodynamic material mainly exist in the
component E.
