Abstract:

Objective: To observe clinical effects of bronchoalveolar lavage in the treatment of severe pneumonia. Methods: 92
patients with severe pneumonia were divided randomly into two groups. Control group received routine treatment, patients in the
treatment group based on the traditional treatments performed bronchoalveolar lavage treatment. Clinical efficacy and hospitalization
days were compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of observation group was significantly
higher than that of the conventional treatment control group. Total effectiveness of treatment group was 95.7% , while the total
effectiveness of control group was 84.4%. The difference of clinical symptoms, imaging from the absorption of inflammation, white
blood cells of normal time was statistically significant（P<0.05）; hospitalization days of treatment group was significantly shorter than
the control group, respectively（14.2±3.2）d and（19.4± 4.3）d. Conclusion: Bronchoalveolar lavage is a safe, effective method in the
treatment of severe pneumonia, the clinical efficacy is significant, worthy of promotion and application.
