Abstract:

Students participation in university governance is the trend of the management and development of higher education
at present. According to a survey，in school governance process，college students in China display problems like weak sense of
initiative in participation，utilitarian motivation of participation，the lack of knowledge，skills and ability of participation，etc.
In order to let students effectively participate in university governance，we should vigorously promote and create a favorable
atmosphere for their participation；we should stimulate students’ motivation and enthusiasm to participate by setting up positive
examples；we should enhance their confidence of participation by emphasizing the dominant position of their participation；we
should develop students’ potential by guiding them to develop their abilities. In conclusion，we should focus on improving
students’ overall quality，enhancing their knowledge through a variety of ways，and improving their practical skills through
scenarios practice，job rotation and so on.
