Abstract: Both Shanghai FTZ and Wanjiang city belt are located along the Yangtze River,thus the Shanghai FTZ experience can serve as a guidance for the development of Wanjiang logistics linkage. This paper does a qualitative analysis of the status of Wanjiang logistics in terms of inland river transportation scale,cargo throughput,highway and waterway freight volume and other aspects,and explores the relationship between the Wanjiang logistics linkage and Shanghai free trade zone. SWOT analysis is applied to the study on the logistics advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and challenges. And based on the success of Shanghai FTZ in customs clearance,cold chain logistics,logistics park construction and negative list system,we suggest Wanjiang logistics linkage be improved by cultivating talents,developing large third-party logistics enterprises and rural logistics,and by connecting manufacturing and logistics industry.
