Abstract: Tentative slackness is the initial stage of the evolution from the ideal mental state to slackness in daily work, and is an important stage of the generation of the danger of mental slackness. Tentative slackness takes different forms: individual or collective, leadership or executive, reversible or irreversible, short-term or long-term, dissipation of self-imposed requirements or test of discipline system. Tentative slackness shows different features: inactivity in work or dynamic-gaming, mental wavering or behavioral deviation, bottom-line erosion or ethos destruction, universal occurrence or local recurrence, finite slacking or controllable consequences. It’s important to strengthen the study on tentative slackness, because that is beneficial for deepening the understanding of the laws of Party style construction, expanding theoretical research on party construction, promoting the growth of the talent team, and overcoming and resolving the danger of mental slackness.
