Abstract: The CPC's awareness of potential dangers is a sense of survival, and a sense of development as well. It is an objective judgment based on rational spirit and political wisdom of dialectical thinking, and originates from both the excellent traditional Chinese culture and from the scientific theories of historical materialism and dialectical materialism. In the past hundred years, the CPC's sense of distress has presented different characteristics in different historical stages. Among them are the vigilance against crisis, the subjective consciousness of risk mitigation, the political spirit of daring to fight, the readiness to shoulder its responsibility for rejuvenation of the nation, and the enterprising spirit of hard-working. Such characteristics have become the shared ideology of the whole Party and the whole Chinese people to transform the world. In the new era, faced with new situation and new tasks, the CPC's awareness of potential dangers is a powerful theoretical weapon for the century-old Party to maintain its advanced nature and purity, and has great theoretical, practical value.
