Abstract: Taking the program of master of engineering in Southwest University as an example，this paper elaborates the development of education of master of engineering and the education mode integrated into the petroleum industry.The authors suggest a series of measures to guarantee quality of the education program in terms of course setup，teaching methods，dissertation composing.They also point out the goal of this program should be training interdisciplinary engineering and management personnels that can meet the requirements of petroleum industry.Present problems and future prospects are discussed in this paper，too.
