美国双语教育发展历程及其启示

摘要: 随着多元文化教育的发展,双语教育近年来已成为学界研究的热门话题。美国双语教育虽历史悠久却历经波折,其发展大致经历了自由发展、限制发展、大力推广和走向衰退四个主要阶段。美国双语教育发展受政治、文化和移民等诸多因素影响,对其发展进程的回顾和反思可以得出有益的经验和教训,这对我国开展双语教育有重要的启示作用:我国应实施有保留的双语教育、稳定持续的语言教育政策和高质量的双语教材和双语师资。

Abstract: Bilingual education has experienced ups and downs through its nearly 400 years of history in the US.Its evolution has mainly undergone the four periods of free development,restricted development,prosperous promotion and declination.Its development has been influenced by many factors such as politics,culture and immigration.Through the reflection on the development of bilingual education in the US from a historical and practical perspective,the author concludes that China should practice maintenance bilingual education and that stable language education policy and high quality bilingual teachers and text books also contribute to the healthy development of bilingual education in China.
