Abstract:

In the Internet age, national sovereignty is challenged to a certain degree;however, national sovereignty theory,
faced with the challenges, has gained opportunities to develop. Network sovereignty is the extension of national sovereignty
in cyberspace. It means that a state has the right to carry out activities and deal with events in cyberspace, and the right
of self-defense against network attacks. Network sovereignty is a subordinate concept of national sovereignty, with obvious
relativity and internationality. Network sovereignty is the latest development and an important part of the national sovereignty.
The effective exercise and maintaining of national sovereignty is inseparable from the network sovereignty. So the network
sovereignty and national sovereignty are complementary and mutually supportive.
