Abstract: Before and after the Opium War,tea trading in Fujian began to decline in prosperity, which reflected the weakening of national security interests reflected in financing, trade, technology and culture. Tea farmers, tea traders and banks, tea industry, cities and regions, displayed the whole process of national decline, reflecting the twists and turns of interest damage caused by various roles and elements in society. Therefore, it is worth exploring the educational value of tea trading in this period from the overall national security perspective. The exploration reveals that there are both horizontal connections and different focuses among the fields of national security, and national interests and individual destiny are consistent. It is worth noting that the lack of national defense mobilization system in this period was one of the root causes for the decline. Therefore, it is suggested that national security education should take into account both specialty education and general education, clarify the status and mission of various fields in national security interests, take people's security as the goal, and finally test and evaluate the effectiveness of national security education according to the effect of national defense mobilization.

Key words: tea trading in Fujian, overall national security, national security education, national defense mobilization, people's safety
