Abstract: Artificial intelligence, the core driving force of the new industrial revolution, has played an important role in the fight against COVID-19. Artificial intelligence has been applied in the scenarios of epidemic analysis, virus tracing, drug screening, disease treatment, and epidemic publicity and prevention, etc. It has also helped combat the epidemic by enabling urban management, telecommuting, smart manufacturing, online education, and online consumption. This paper first reviews the definition and development of artificial intelligence and constructs an industrial ecological analysis framework focusing on the analysis of the specific application scenarios of artificial intelligence in these industries. We hold that artificial intelligence will further change the life style, economic structure, employment structure, education mode and values of human society. And we put suggestions that government and all walks of life take active actions to explore specific measures for further development of artificial intelligence so that we can answer the challenge of the uncertainty brought about by technological revolution and can be better equipped with and supported by artificial intelligence in preventing major public health crises.

Key words: artificial intelligence, COVID-19, epidemic prevention and control, industrial ecology, application scenarios
