Red Sports: Internal and External Attributes

Abstract: Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the protection, research and inheritance of red resources have become an important issue in the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Red sports is an important carrier of advanced socialist culture and excellent traditional Chinese sports culture. However, in the study of red sports theory, there exist problems of imprecise expression, unclear connotation and inaccurate denotation, which affect the academic exchange of red sports research and restrict the guiding role of red sports theory in practice. Red sports resources are characteristic of red culture with the essential attribute of popularity with the people. Red sports culture is the internal attribute of red sports, and red sports resources are the external attribute of red sports. Red sports resources fall into two types: explicit and implicit. In the future, the academic circle should further strengthen researches on the internal attributes of red sports, strengthen the protection and utilization of red sports resources and innovation in practice, and strike a balance between the cultural and market elements of red sports resources.
