Abstract: Based on the data from the two corpora,an EFL learner essay corpus and a native English speaker corpus,this paper aims to study words chunk of the highfreq adjective other and its teaching,focusing on the differences between EFL learners and native speakers in using the chunks with the highfrequency adjective other as the core,especially the differences between the colligations and collocations of the chunks,and the causes of the differences so as to shed some light on foreign language teaching and learning.
