THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHINESE FEMINIST MOVIES—SEEN FROM PERPETUAL MOTION

Abstract: As a marginal culture element,feminist movies have had a difficult time surviving and developing with harsh criticism.This paper,taking Perpetual Motion as example and by making a comparison with conventional movies from the perspective of feminism,does a research on feminist movies as a unique literature and art form in China.By analyzing from different angles,the author explores the difficulties China′s feminist movies experienced in the past and those they face now,and also the possibilities of feminist movies′ survival and direction of their future development in China which is brought about by Perpetual Motion.
