Measures Against the Lack of Honesty in Scientific Research Teams
in Universities in China

Abstract:

In the realm of scientific research, there is an urgent problem concerning how to regulate the dishonest action by scientific research teams in universities. Through exploring ways of regulating the dishonest actions in scientific research, we put forward five feasible measures to this issue. The first is to cultivate the scientific spiritual temperament to firm scientific beliefs of researchers. Secondly, it is necessary to provide scientific research teams and their members with adequate material conditions, so that they can focus on their research work. Thirdly, we must promote the sense of social responsibility in scientific research practice, so that the researchers explore and solve real problems in their work. Fourthly, it is important to enhance administration of scientific researches, and severely punish misconducts in scientific researches. And the fifth is to strengthen systematic research training so as to improve quality of scientific researches.
