Abstract: Communication problems of Chinese English now involve Chinese culture aphasia，“unintelligible”language structure and“inappropriate”speech act.After discussing the above problems，the author points out that college English teaching in China should，considering the fact that most learners are in a Chinese context，focus on developing learners′ sensitivity to cultural differences between Chinese and English so that they can communicate effectively while retaining their own language characteristics instead of achieving accuracy and nativeness of language use by mere repetitive imitation.
