In recent years，it is commonplace for female college students to have abortions，which to some extent reflects contemporary college students′ negative attitude towards love and life and their ethical values.This negative attitude derives from two aspects：one is college students′ indifference towards life，the other is college students′ self-enjoyment of emotional life，which lead to the tensions between life and living.“Abortion” is the product of this “tension”，which embodies not only a violence of cruel rationality，but also a fragmented and broken humanity.Therefore，arousing college students′ sense of responsibility and improving the real quality of their living are important ways in “life” education which can improve college students′ understanding of life and reshape the meaning of “life”.

Multidimensional perspectives are a striking feature in researches on ideological and political education in recent years.This paper probes into the effects of ideological and political education from the perspectives of information dissemination，social psychology，and reception aesthetics，and then explains the significance of the transformation and diversity of research perspectives to the innovation in educational research.The authors of this paper think that ideological and political education is a special kind of information dissemination activities，which involves educators，educational content，educational carriers and education subjects.These above-mentioned factors are variables，the combination of which will have a major impact on the ideological and political education.Social psychology concerns about the effect of implicit influence and accumulated effects，which will promote changes in educator attitudes and hence optimize education results.The reception theories of “horizon of expectations”，“aesthetic distance” and “second text” also play an important role in changing the conception and enhance the effect of ideological and political education.

A systematic analysis reveals that cooperation between Sichuan and South Asia in economy and trading has achieved a lot，which can be demonstrated by the increasing trading scale，and by the fact that direct investment by both parties in Sichuan and South Asia have been made.But there still exist problems，which include relatively small proportion of and unbalanced trading cooperation，inadequate comparative advantages etc.Based on the above analysis，the authors study the opportunities and challenges in Sichuan and South Asia cooperation and point out that challenges to more effective cooperation mainly lie in conservative concepts，cold-war-time attitudes，similar natural and economic situations and lack of a scientific system of cooperation.Then the authors suggest that cooperation between Sichuan and South Asia in trading，investment，economy and technology be further promoted by taking the following measures：reinforcing the awareness of opening to South Asia，setting up an effective cooperation system on the basis of Western China International Fair，implementing a strategy of grand opening，establishing non-government research institute for strategic supports，constructing development zone，expediting official intercommunication and forging sister relationship with South Asian cities，etc.

After 1980s，resource exhaustion in cities dependent on natural resources as the major economic engine began to hinder economic development in those cities.Strengthened ties with neighboring cities and help from external forces are worthwhile means to develop economy in resource-exhausted cities.Taking Baiyin City as an example，this paper analyzes and discusses ways to develop its tertiary industry base on Lanzhou-Baiyin economic integration.We hope to provide useful lessons for the resource-exhausted cities which are undergoing industrial restructuring.

Chinese double-syllable words are formed by combining words without a linear syntax structure，which mainly consist of three categories：“monosyllable word+monosyllable word”→double-syllable word，which is formed by paratactic synonyms or by nonsynonyms；“monosyllable word+ monosyllable nonword”→double-syllable word，which is formed by
roots and affixes；double-syllable word→double-syllable word，which includes content word that changes into other part of speech or into function word.This paper examines the degree of applicability of these morphological approaches in all parts of speech and gives examples respectively.

The study of Chinese lexical system is of considerable significance in the studies of Chinese lexicology.Before the 1990s，there has been an intense debate in linguistics circle about whether there was a systematic Chinese lexicon.And two totally contradictory viewpoints were held by different parties.Then，the viewpoint that Chinese lexicon is a system was generally accepted.Since then，heated discussion began，which is mainly about the specific manifestation of Chinese lexical system，such as，sound pattern，grammar，word form，character，and meaning，etc.That Chinese lexicon is a system is further proved and justified theoretically.By exploring the previous studies，we found that Chinese lexicon is not a random accumulation of words but an organized system which is of weak and implicit hierarchical layering.Therefore，we hold that Chinese lexicon system should be explored at the semantic level and from both the synchronic and diachronic perspectives.As far as research methods are concerned，not only induction but deduction should be applied.

Focusing on improving the quality of training of active student applicants of party membership in colleges and universities and keeping the training work up to date，the authors present suggestions concerning quality control，organization structure and quality assessment in the process of training.We hold that effective training can be realized only by involving party committees at all levels in universities and by setting up in university party school a scientific system of teaching management，teacher training and quality control.

Communication problems of Chinese English now involve Chinese culture aphasia，“unintelligible”language structure and“inappropriate”speech act.After discussing the above problems，the author points out that college English teaching in China should，considering the fact that most learners are in a Chinese context，focus on developing learners′ sensitivity to cultural differences between Chinese and English so that they can communicate effectively while retaining their own language characteristics instead of achieving accuracy and nativeness of language use by mere repetitive imitation.

By analyzing the questionnaire results involving undergraduates and vocational students of more than 30 specialties from 20 universities and colleges in their 1st to 4th year in college，we find out that there is a gap between university education plan and market demand and university students′ concept about employment lags behind the reality at present.The authors therefore come to the conclusion that university education should focus more on developing practice-oriented talents by offering the students more opportunities to apply their knowledge to practice so that they get better chances for employment and are better equipped to start their own business.Besides，government should also provide more effective support both in policy and finance.
