Abstract:

The legal aid by university students has its own characteristics，so its operation and management differ greatly from social legal aid and thus causes a series of problems in the process of its development. We made an empirical analysis of several typical legal aid organizations in some areas in China，and found out some common difficulties they face such as scarcity of funds，insufficient core personnel，and unclear identity. Based on the analysis of difficulties and the causes and the current conditions，we conclude that in order to ensure the development of legal aid，measures like legislation revision，security enhancement，and fund support should be taken，and legal aid practices can also be placed on law school curriculum and etc. We hope that these measures can meet the actual conditions in universities and help promote the development of legal aid cause.
