Abstract: “Red resources” bear witness to the arduous and glorious of struggle of CPC's and are the most precious spiritual wealth of the Party and the nation. Xi Jinping's exposition on "passing on the tradition of revolution for generations" provides the fundamental guidance and direction for making good use of "red resources" in the new era. From the dimension of ideological implication, it exhibits the communists' firm belief in the revolutionary ideal and their patriotism of being loyal to the party, and highlights the CPC's political nature of serving the people, and revolutionary tradition of perseverance and diligence. From the dimension of value implication, Xi's exposition adheres to and develops the methodology of Marxist philosophy and transforms and extends the wisdom of China's traditional culture, providing scientific ways for the practice of governance and administration. From the dimension of practical implication, it directs specific paths for fully using the resource of talents in the new era, protecting physical resources and promoting the spiritual significance of the "red gene".
