Integrating Petroleum Spirit into the Ideological and Political Education of Physical Education Courses in Petroleum Universities

Abstract: In the practice of the petroleum industry, the petroleum spirit has been formed with the spirit of workers in Daqing Oilfield (the"Iron Man") as the representative and with "hard working" and "three honest and four strict" as the core. With clear political characteristics of the times and values in practice, the petroleum spirit is the spiritual wealth passed on by successive generations of oil men in China. It has a strong ideological and political education function in petroleum colleges and universities. The core of ideological and political education in physical education course is to cultivate students' good morality together with strong physique. The integration of petroleum spirit into the physical education curriculum of petroleum colleges and universities is conducive to strengthening value guidance, optimizing content supply and strengthening cultural support. Therefore, we can construct the practice path of integrating petroleum spirit into petroleum college physical education curriculum by perfecting top-level design, constructing ideological and political education system, optimizing implementation vehicle, improving physical education teachers' ideological and political consciousness, and establishing sharing mechanism for ideological and political education.
