Abstract: Like Jinggangshan Spirit， Long March Spirit and Yan'an Spirit， the Petroleum Spirit has become an important part of the excellent national culture and the Zeitgeist in China， and has a promoting effect on carrying forward the national spirit， forming national cohesion， and on promoting the formation of college students' values. In petroleum universities， the Petroleum Spirit plays a special and important role in the work of cultural education. This paper studies the connotation of cultural education in petroleum universities， expounds the value and significance of Petroleum Spirit cultural education in petroleum universities， puts forward the specific content of cultural education in petroleum universities， and probes into the promotion of Petroleum Spirit in petroleum universities in the new era.
